The father-in-Law wants to replace a 70 panel, with a pony which will then feed a 100amp box in the basement. The house is in Nanton. This would be a cash job, anyone interested?
He's just replacing a 70amp Panel with a 100amp panel? What do you mean by Pony....I could do the panel switch...I'm only a second year apprentice, but I have done lot's of panel installations and exchanges. Would it be live or would Enmax be turning it off for you?

lol...this is Calgary...nobody gives a **** about a master electrician. As long as the home owner says he did it, then he's fine. He can do his own electrical work on his own house. There's not a foreman/master electrician on any jobsite these day's, everything is done by the apprentices. A second/fourth year apprentice know's just as much about the trade as a Journeman does when it comes to on-site experience.

Unless you are upgrading the service, it is not a wise choice to upgrade the panel. The panel is only rated for what the service conductors are rated for. I am an Electrician, shoot me a P.M. if you still need to get it done.
