I have a couple of pics on my HD ive tried to upload here, hope it works. I think i still have his email on my home pc ill see if i can dig it out and ill pm you with it if i do.

I spent a good 40 minutes looking over the car, great condition and treated well, hardly drives it, hes had it holed up in the garage for over 6 months and she wants it gone as its just his hobby car . he lives in the back of okotoks. sound guy as well. jsut wasnt quite what i was looking for.

Dont know much about options but it was a black MK3 GTI.

        Ill look for that email,

thought i would bring this post back. I am still looking - I live walking distance to work so I wasn't in a rush but now I am itching to get a car. My budget is still around 10,000 max, but will go up to 12 is the deal is a good one. obviously anything around the price of 8,000 or so is good too. Anyone seen anything good lately?

A good car for you would also be an older Saab 93 or 900. Good cars, really.

thanks man, the audi looks like a pretty good deal. I've heard that generation can be endless money pits once you get over 100,000 kms or so. am i wrong? i'm not a beamer guy, nothing against them just not my style.
hey Kordain I never checked out that ride but I am regretting that I didn't. right before i brought this thread back i was seeing if that post on clubveedub was still around but i couldnt find it, so i'm guessing it's sold.

The A4's aren't endless money pits its more of a casm really one that you and your wallet fall into and cant climb out of.

News for you, used cars often require money for maintenance.

true, and valid point. but i've been hearing that the A4s generally require much more than average amount of money for maintenance

Depends if it's a GL or a CL. IMHO if it's a CL that price is too high. If it's a GL or GLS (has the 2L) then it's a better deal depending on options. It says it has leather heated seats so it should be a GLS (I think).
