    FS: Vaughn V3 35+2 Goalie Pads

    Up for sale is a set of impulse purchased Vaughn V3 goalie pads. They measure 35+2 and are white with a red tribal graphic. They were originally owned by Curtis McElhinney of the Calgary Flames, and in excellent condition. Reason for selling is I have a full set of TPS R8's, and can't afford to have two sets of pads that cost this much. These pads are in excellent condition with no tears or rips.

    They have a few nice modifications on them straight from Vaughn:

    -NHL Pro Spec (11"wide, under 38" tall)
    -NHL Logos (Only 3 Logos on pads conforming to NHL rules)
    -No Calf wrap Graphic
    -No Side thigh flap
    -'Wardo' single knee block
    -V1 style leg cradle

    I am asking $1200 obo... as I need these gone. They would typically retail for around $2500 in Calgary....

    (*If* someone was interested.. I would also entertain offers for my R8 pads/set Red/Black/white which are 35+1/34+2 and also full legal pro size)

    I assume you bought these at the Flames sale? The tender on our work team just got Kippers...which are almost identical to these. Good luck, they are nice pads

      Yeah, Kippers were nice, but he also paid $600 for the (basically) same pad! (And i think was in line for about 3+ hours longer then I was)

      I wanted Kippers glove.. but the Flames placed more of a collectors price on it then for someone who would actually use it. (Flames price was $350.. brand new same specs from US is $400)

        I think they may be a little to tall for me... would you be willing to let me try them for a game?

          Sure!
          Funny thying with Vaughns is that once broken in they 'shrink' a little... they are almost identical to my 34 TPS Pads..

            I'm going to Van on Tuesday for a week vacation but once I am back if you have not sold them I will try them out!
