Id3 and Voicetag software and Phatnoise

Finally gave in and bought the $119 Phatnoise system...it's on it's way, in the meantime I realize I have some organization to do with my existing music. I know Kenwood has some features included in their software that allow for automated id3 and voicetagging and they look like effective options if it weren't for the $100 bucks or so they cost.

Anybody have an automated id3 tag and voice tag service that they like?

I find the software that comes with the phatnoise really easy to use for this. Keep in mind that you have to disable your virus scan when adding tracks as the voice tags will not write when it is turned on.

Are you using the Gracenote functionality to identify songs or relying on the id3 tag info from the ripping process? The reason I ask is that I've a tonne of mix cd's without the source data on the disk for id3 tags. The only way I'll be able to tag 'em is with the Gracenote...I think.

works with Norton!! I've never turned mine off.

And I'm with Mr. Burns -- the Phatnoise music manager software is great for modifying id tags!

Yeh same here, my nortan didn't need to be turned off. Its a slick system, i haven't put a cd in the headunit since i got the "phatty".
