If your lowered around 2" will you almost always need a front sway bar?When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.Comment

I know of a few people who did it themselves. Depending on the bar, I've heard rumours that you have to drop the subframe, and that means a wheel alignment when you're done. I haven't done this personally, and am still running my stock front with an autotech rear.
