FS 2002 VR6 engine

I have 2002 VR6 engine from a car with 51,000km

Engine is for parts only, due to some damage (wrecked car)

comes complete as it can be with everything still on the motor, throttle body, both manifolds, dual down pipe with cat and 2 02 sensors, alternator, PS pump, injectors, fuel rail, plugs , all the sensors, coolant and vacuum hoses, cut harness

Engine still has the 02M tranny attached to it but I want to hold on to it for now since I have extra bell housing for 4 cyl and may use that with one of 1.8T's

If it won't sale as is then I may part it out

I think 2003 was the 12 to 24 valve change. Not totally sure though.

it has hole on the side of the block into coolant passage and cracked oil pan - stupid mkIV mounts, this is the third VR that I see with this problem

I'm pretty sure all the internals are ok

was the VR block same over the years ? could 24V head be put on 12V block ? could the internals be swaped over ?

You cannot put a 24v head on to a 12v block, everything is pretty different.

Yep I look into this last night, this is something new to VW - non-compatible stuff. Its still amazes me how you could mismatch heads, blocks, tranys and vehicles from 30 year period.


well we still have the chunk if someone is willing to weld it up and get the new oil pan it could still be done, also 02M could go with it for the right $$$ - more like buy the tranny get the motor
