ok, have some good news, price wise that is. i got in touch with a guy who runs a vw parts place here in poland is a vice president of some vw club of poland, anyway, for newveedub members he is offering these clusters at 400zl (polish money), i think the exchange now is $1=2.75zl, in any case, around $150 for the cluster with the MFA computer in it. NOW, the only thing is these are used/remanufactured, he says the only difference between these and new ones is the mileage, which can be re-adapted through vag-com. in any case, i think this price is very tempting. however, i did read somewhere you can adapt mileage forwards, but not backwards, someone please check this out for me in detail. he told me they can be set back...

what i will do is go ahead and order one for myself now, to make sure its in new condition externally, i wont be able to test the functionality of it until i plug it in, and here i have no resources to do that. so basically whoever wants in, will take a $150 chance, which is better then the $450 the dealership wants.

if by some reason they do not work, well, just sell them off on vortex and you'll still make profit, who knows, they might work for others. but lets hope it doesnt come to that.

well thats the best i can do for CHEAP, i will take the chance. however, if you have money, and no cluster for trade in, a brand-spanking-new one here is 2200zl, take that and divide by 2.75 and thats $$$'s.

please i'd like to hear what you guys have to say, if i was everyone, i'd order this thing and see what happens, peter?

Hmmm I am not sure you can re-adapt the mileage, I will research vortex. You also might need to have the immobilizer ID from the previous car in order to switch it over...

Preliminary research on VWVortex says that this is a no go. It appears that once the clusters pass 100km, you're screwed.
