04.5 Jetta GLI feeler

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum but have been reading for a while.

I have an 04.5 Jetta GLI, 1.8T, Revo 4 Bar, 18" staggered JLine's, Brembo's and mintex Red box all around, Silverline Coils, Autotech Sways- front and rear, modded intake, R32 Short shift, N75J, OEM HID's, Euro Switch.

I'm considering selling: the car is Blue Lagoon with 50,000 KM, most of which were from driving across Canada the first month I got it. The car is completely mint and has never been winter driven. If there is any interest I'm available at 484-3000 ext 232 or philip.abram@nordenautohaus.com.

I'm pretty open to offers but there is a stock Eastern GLI at Norden for $31,000 plus tax and the last ones I've seen before that were both $33,000 plus tax.

I'm looking for around $34,000 taxes in OBO......

and if you guys have any parts needs, I'm the performance guy at Norden. I've built that MK5 white Jetta on HRE's and will be heading more Norden projects fot the winter including a 300HP widebody Boxster in January.

Any chance you'd be willing to trade your OEM hids for my stock GLI lights plus a few bucks? Mine REALLY needs those pretty lights of yours

Sounds like a nice car with those mods...but nobody is going to pay low 30's for a GLI. Part out the rims and headlights (maybe other stuff too), and list the car for less

FWIW, I was only asking 28k a year ago for mine....and it only had 21,000km on it....

And you're competing against a new GTI with 0 miles. I wouldn't normally comment but you're expectations seem 6-12Gs high...

The engine mods for the Boxster will be minimal, all I'm saying is that it will be an '07 with the new motor. The mods to the Boxster will be strictly for aesthetics except for intake and exhaust.

The asking price for the GLI is a little high, but there is no reason for me to sell for less. Brand new the car was $34,400 plust taxes and I have about 10-12 grand into it. I think the price is justified to the right person, you just have to be that person.

No offense, but you got raped on your purchase price.....good luck with the sale, but mods mean next to nothing when selling a car, part out and you'll be golden....your rims alone should bring you around 3k by the sounds of them.

I agree, everyone knows you will never get your money back out of modding, it does not hold or make the value of your car go up. And dont expect your gst back either. But part out like smarty said and you should be able to make some decent cash on the side.

My little 98 Neon has 20 grand in mods and car purchase in to it, makes 330 HP, does 260 km/h and corners like you can't imagine. I couldn't get more than 6 thou for it whole, but can part it for about 15k.

Parts aren't worth poop when they are actually on the car. I hate it as much as you probably do but thats how it goes.
