thanks I have already talked to him. It is not an AEB, being that it is a 2001.

why your looking for AEB - drive by cable ?

AEB = external waterpump, stock mk1/2 mount attaches to timingbelt side, drive by cable, 3pin coils etc. I am considering other motors but really hoping to find an AEB. Plus I already have a complete harness and computer etc. for an AEB

Mk 1 only, mk II dose not have side mount

Cant you easily convert DBW to cable throttle body with 2.0 TB and still use AEB wiring and computer ?

sorry yes correct. its going in a mk1. I will look at all 1.8t motors though.

AEB is a little stronger engine as well.. the Pistons are forged as opposed to other years, intake manifold is better.. etc etc..
