Well, I'm thinking of parting with my car and getting something simmilar in a 2005ish model. This is what I have:
2001 Jetta GLS TDI. Cloth interior, no sunroof, 5 speed. 135,000km
Everything is working great. It is chipped with Upsolute software, and has .205 injectors and a manual boost controler. It also has suspension from a Jetta GLI with not too many miles on them yet. As it stands now, you would have a choice of 15" VW alloys with Goodyear Ultra grip Ice tires, I was thinking they would be good for one more season, or 18" Ro-ja GT drift wheels with Pirelli P zero M&S tires. Two of the 18"s have inner lip dents that need repair... If I get them fixed first, I'd want a little more for the 18"s. If you were to fix them, i dont think extra $ would be necessary.
Other info:
-Bought with 60000km, I am the second owner.
-No accidents.
-Clean in and out. Expected rock chips in paint on front bumper, but rest of paint is great.
-Alpine Type S component speakers in all 4 doors.
-Turbo was replaced by dealer around 90,000km, so I would expect there to be no problems in that department for quite some time.
-Intake has been cleaned at 80,000km, and with EGR turned down, It should still be clean. Timing belt and water pump also done at this time. Timing belt replaced with the newer style belt (old is an 80,000km belt, new is 100,000km as far as I remember)
-Well maintained. Major stuff at dealer, filters, oil and minor stuff done by myself.
I will probably ask around $16,500, and see where it goes from there.
