  • FS: Neuspeed Lowering Springs

I have a brand new set of Neuspeed 2" Lowering springs that have never been installed. They are still in the original box.

They are the racing springs that fit 1999+ (MKIV style) VR6 GTI and Jetta. These springs are yellow in colour. Neuspeed part number is 55.10.75.

Brand new from Neuspeed is approx $270US. Which is currently about $320CA. When I bought them they cost me over $400CA.

I will sell them for $160 obo.

      Question for you guys.
Will these work on my 04 Golf TDI? and can I use my stock shocks or would I have to upgrade to a stiffer shock?

      Thanks

yep they will work on your car but I would DEFINATELY recommend changing your shocks/struts at the same time. Your stock stuff won't last long with these springs and you'll just end up ripping the car apart and installing it again. Do it right the first time.

          Thanks nismodrifter
What would you recommend for shocks? also with a 2" drop will the car still be drivable in the winter?

          Thanks

Just remember when you use them on a TDI I think the front springs are a little beefier for the weight of the VR6 engine compared to the 4 cyl. So they will fit but the front springs may not lower the front end quite the same with the lighter engine.

Upgraded shocks are definitely recommended. Winter driving a 2" lowered golf is not recommended, unless you are buddies with a city concellor and can get your street cleaned before you get up every morning.

the TDI engine is probably heavey than a vr6. i know with eibach springs you order the same ones for a TDI as a vr6 and the 1.8T and 2.slow ones are lighter.

Thanks for all the great info guys, I kind of thought a 2" drop would be to much for my car that I have to drive in the winter.

I drove my MK3 last winter on coils probably near 3 inches down and really had no troubles, just have to be cautious!!

                              Someone should pick these up!!
