Hmmm kinda interested...
Can I ask why you replaced the wheel bearings, ball joints, front axle boots, and rear axle? I assume these were all replaced together, which is pretty unusual!
May I ask if it was ever in any fender benders?

Kor.. If you new me you'd know I'm a little fussy when it comes to my cars !!! anyway the ABS was kicking in just under 20kph under light breaking.. so I had the car in the shop, they could'nt find the fault on vagcom so had to take all four corners apart to check the speed sensors etc.. so I had them do everything whist the car was in pieces.. turned out to be the reluctor plate on the right rear axle... the car has been in no fender benders !!Comment

whats a reluctor plate?? i have the same thing with my car now... they checked adjusted air gap, seemed fine for a while came back, replaced sensors, nothing...2002 VW Golf GT TDI

Bart.. its a notched plated around the axle on the part that slots into the hub.. the wheel sensor counts the teeth or notches as it goes round, mine split so it was'nt counting the right number of teeth, so threw the ABS out !! I think thats the way Paul O'Neil described it to me !!Comment

And for those that don't know, the sport package lowers the car slightly with better sways front and rear (the stock ones were hollow)...and the convenience package includes Xenons...(per www.audiworld.com)....Comment
