I wonder if you can wire the pedals to volume control?

Yeah its probably pretty easy to modify.

Turn signals might be cool, or stereo volume control, or accel/decel for cruise control. How about all windows up and down, or opening/closing the sunroof, so many possibilities.

If you had a full MFA those would be cool. Is the center chaft actually grooved? its looks smooth to me in the pictures.

Hi Brent, it is grooved. It is the same as any other 3-spoke/4-spoke steering wheel. I've tried fitted this steering wheel on my car, works perfectly.

Oh man, I want to do this even more now. Looks like I'll be making a call to Germany....I am sure it'll cost a but load, but hey, it'll be super original!

For what it's worth, when I took apart my wheel for the garage opener, the buttons are all canbus switches, so wiring something to those DSG paddles will probably be a bit more involved than a + and - lead.

I believe this wheel does not have those canbus switches as this is not R32 DSG/Audi TT DSG steering wheel. This is an ordinary Audi Tiptronic steering wheel as seen on A6,S6,...etc.

I don't understand how a canbus switch is different, at some point all switches are mechanical?
