  • FS: 2004.5 GLI Headlights

I have a brand new set (changed headlights one week after I bought the car!) of GLI headlights. The headlights (for anyone not aware) have the black housing and foglights. I could probably even throw in some bulbs! Anyone interested??

I put in a set of FK Smoked E-Codes. I know, I know.....not very much of a difference but I really wanted a darker look, and the signal light is smoked so that is a bonus! By the way Bart, are you the one with the blue TDI with white rims? If so, we were driving right beside each other last week on McLeod Tr. all the way up to Blackfoot. I was in the black GLI, but I still have my steelies on . Nice ride you have, and I'm diggin' the badge on the hatch!

How much are you selling them for? I wouldn't mind having fogs and a black housing. Then again I suppose I'd need fancy wiring and a euroswitch to use the fogs?

I really don't know how much to ask for these since they are technically "used". I mean C1 charges $369 for their smoked E-codes, which are almost identical to the GLI's I'm selling. Someone just make an offer if you're interested, maybe around $200? I don't know, maybe that's still too high? Sorry for not being more desicive.

Yea, if I had the money I would definately get some HIDS....somehow I think that the wife would cut something off in the middle of the night though! She already gets on my back about modding, so spending well over a grand for headlights (especially when I already have new ones!) just wouldn't go over well!

The ironic thing is, she wants a GolfV when they come out here and I bet she will want to mod it. So we'll see who has the last laugh then!

my offer is $100. the reason smoked ecodes cost so much more is because essentially, you're paying for the better european light pattern, which illuminates the road much better than our NA beam pattern.

so yes, they do look alike, however, the quality in beam pattern is much superior in the ecodes.

Make me an offer! You can buy the foglight wiring and the euroswitch from C1, and from what I understand the wiring is not difficult at all. And, the euroswitch install is a 10 second job!

I know that the e-codes are much better than the lights that come on our NA vehicles, but I also know that not many NA Jetta's come with foglights! That is why I didn't really know how much to ask for them, but I think it should be more that $100. However, I could be wrong and if I don't get any better offers.....they're yours!
