      Tempted to buy these for the TDI but then I would really need a new skid plate Plus the wedding is eating my $$. If you still have these in a month or so let me know

              Yes and no. You will eventually need to replace the shocks as you are changing the shop where the shocks settle therefor you are wearing in a new spot and therefor more prone to leaking. There are a couple people who have just used spings and haven't had to replace them for a long time. I think all it does is shorten the shock life by a bit

                I ran just springs on stock shocks for over a year, ride became progressively bouncier, so I upgraded the shocks and its been great since.
