I've purchased a brand new daily so the Avant must go :(
I bought this vehicle from George at Tune dub a little under 2 years ago. I am the 3rd owner.
Since purchasing it I've replaced some common items including the power steering pump and hose as well as the transmission linkage. It was a completely stock car with 129k on it and 2 accidents on file for a combined value of $6000 in repairs. It's a USA car that was purchased brand new in Salt Lake City and driven immediately to Alberta where it is has spent it's whole time in service.
I was planning to purchase a brand new Golf R but after driving this wagon and remarking at the amazing overall condition I changed my plans and decided to buy a used daily for the first time in 6+ years. I'm a bit anal retentive (maybe someone can vouch that for me) so even though the condition was excellent, I embarked on a few projects to make sure that the car appeared better than showroom condition. I was adamant that the car's performance stayed completely stock so there is no tune, air filter or exhaust modifications as they be what fuk up your timing chain yo'. I would sh/t in Jalopnik's mouth if they didn't mean I was able to get such a reasonable deal on this thing in the first place; now you can too.
I recently drove it from Calgary to LA and back. It performed like a mid 2000s German station wagon should, burning one quarter of a quart during the entire trip and never missing a beat. This thing gets looks, nods and thumbs up everywhere it goes (probably more attention than I like) I absolutely love and adore the car but I just have too many things in the fleet and it's hard to justify keeping it.
Full disclosure: Occasionally the check engine light comes on. I scan the codes, it tells me there was a power surge in a memory seat or complains about an O2 sensor. I clear the codes and it disappears for another 3000 - 4000km. This is almost the only issue with the vehicle and if you know your VAG, thats par for the course. What else is wrong with it? A few of the pieces of plastic trim that are screwed to the underneath of the car are slightly cracked/broken.
What is it?

Feel free to PM me. If I don't respond, apologies in advance for being a little busy. Someone else on the forum might be able to put you in touch with me.
