        Tire rack recommends replacing winter tires at 6mm tread depth.

          While I agree that winter tires lose much of their functionality at low tread depths, I think 6mm is excessive. I believe they just say 6mm so that everyone runs to buy new tires every two winters. These tires look like they have 1 - 2 seasons left for sure. GLWS!
