  • Anybody know this car or this guy selling this car?

Just going to post this up here for you entertainment. I sent a message to him just asking if he would part out his S4 mirrors. Check out his reaction. I wouldn't want to deal with him, and thought maybe others who are thinking about the car would like a heads up. I'm not really sure about other people's opinions but because of his attitude, I wouldn't trust anything that came out of this guys mouth about the car. The FYI in the ad wasn't there before I sent the message...

    Ad - http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/e...dan/1093631324

    Email Thread -
Me: Would you part out the s4 mirrors? I have black ones to replace if you need

Him: ya ill sell them to you for 50 000 dollars you jack ass Go buy your own S4 mirrors, Your unbelievable I don't want youre black mirrors I clearly have these on MY car for a reason -__-

Me: Hey what's with the hostility??? What's wrong with asking if you would part them? If I paid you and if you didn't have mirrors to replace you could have my black set?
Geeze I didn't even low ball you or anything. What if I was going to offer you like $600? Seeing a brand new set costs $800. I hope you were drunk when you replied to this or you have some issues. And you probably won't sell your car with that attitude.

Him: Don't tell me how to act or write a long as msg to me about my attitude I'll be how I want with dumb asses like yourself asking to part my car out cause your to cheap to go buy brand new ones. Go to the dealership like I did and get your own. Haha my car won't be sold? I guess you know everything hey? Thanks for your interest next time you go look at the junk yard for your side mirrors bud. How's that for hostility hahaha later bud

Yup, I did paint them. Just thought I would ask the seller if he wanted to sell them. Didn't think he would go roid rage on me lol
I like your car by the way. It reminds me of my old sedan every time I look at it. I sold it because I bought an avant, and for the longest time I thought it was my old car, but I don't think it is.

On the one hand I understand how the guy feels, I have had a lot of people ask me for parts from my Jetta I'm selling - Which is frustrating since if I sell the upgrade for a few 100, I'll spend the almost the same on getting a stock part and will get less for the car + all the hassle of removing and installing.

On the other hand his reaction was way out of proportion, he needs to take a breather.

I have lots of people asking for things that my for-sale ads say that I don't have... I find a simple, "sorry - don't have that anymore" does the trick.

Rage-a-maniac comes across like a bit of a side-show carnival act... thanks for the laugh!

Ah fair enough. thanks! I don't think this has ever been an enthusiasts car, as it was randomly at a dodge dealership and completely stock. (i find myself wishing i bought an avant in the first place haha....)

Re: Anybody know this car or this guy selling this car?

This isn't a for sale thread. Also - What is it with this dude showing up on Eurodrivers once per year to critique selling prices or post about his private conversations.

The guy posted a for-sale ad for his car and you asked to buy/swap mirrors off him - hence he was a complete ******* to you. Get over it.

When I posted this I thought to myself, I bet you ^^^ this guy is gonna say something here lol. Geeze it's been so long you get over it! Lol you got pissed off because I asked for your asking price when you posted a "feeler" without a price??! I live in Edmonton and you live in Calgary, why was asking for your price so wrong? I'm sure not going to drive all the way down without something concrete - nobody would. And what's the big deal? You posted a for sale ad, there are going to be questions - answer them! I've sold lots of stuff on forums and kijiji, I'm never a douchebag. I answer questions and even low ballers. If they are really low I just ignore them. No need to be an ass.

Anyways, I posted the original ad in the marketplace because it could be a decent buy, but just be careful of the buyer. Don't give me flack for that, I'm only helping the community out.
Mods you can lock this. Sorry maybe I should have just used the kijiji thread.

Are you seriously going to bring up old threads in which you were in the wrong? You brought PM's public and at the same time were a complete dick to him. He obviously didn't want to sell it to you (I wouldn't have either with the way you were acting...) and i think you took it too personally. You could have simply asked for the price and if he didn't give you a price then you move on or build one of your own...

boarder - Here is a really quick filter you can use to figure out whether it's appropriate.

Ask yourself, am I sharing negative feedback about a car or a person? If it's a car, go ahead and post in the appropriate thread. If it's a person, you can probably just save it for a coffee meet or better yet, let it go.

The only negative thing I can extract about this sellers car from your thread is, it's Mirrors are not up for trade.
