I'm what could be classified as a recurring addict.

Phase 1: Hardcore car addiction - Symptoms: Spending all of my money on cars/wheels/car parts. Spending all of my time on cars/wheels/car parts. Lasts 6months - 2years
Phase 2: Getting my **** together - Symptoms: Selling the aforementioned car once completely finished. Spending time in daylight, cycling, hiking, running and eating right. Lasts 3-4 weeks
Phase 3: Click on Kijiji using your preferred internet browser.
Phase 4: Repeat phases 1 thru 3 - Symptoms: Happiness. Lasts between the ages of 16 and 85.

I know the sickness very well.. went from B5 2.8, to Stage 3+ 1.8T to APR Stage 3 S4 to AWE/VAST Stage 3 S4. I still miss my last one...

It is a sickness, I know it is, and selling this is a bad decision.

I looked at....Toyota Rav4s today.....seriously.

I'm trying to get away from fun cars for a while, but the pain is too great lol. Pretty soon I'll just be another Toyota in everyone's way.

A red s4 would be nice..

Regarding the tranny, there is some incredibly minor binding in 1st. It is so minor that I've not noted it as I never think of it. Once warm, there is zero issue.

One shouldn't be hitting 1st in down changes anyway.

The bottom end and heads (cams & valve springs) are stock. It is very rare that anyone deems it necessary to build the engine for a K04 setup.

Mileage, I'll get an exact reading when back at the office.

Also, currently running 20-21PSI, but you could comfortably push that higher if you want (24PSI).

Well, I gave it a week on here in hopes that it would stay local to the forum, but as of this morning she is on Kijiji.
I've had a few people express interest from here, but nothing solid as of yet.

I've added a few hundred dollars in Kijiji tax to the asking price there, for the utter arse ache that it brings when dealing with the inevitable low pants brigade.

Nothing was hidden, all problems with the car had been discussed honestly, and in the time I had the car I had no surprises. I'm still enjoying driving this daily

Had a gent that can only be described as an total ******* **** arrange a viewing 2 weeks ago.
Seemed like a nice guy, but I got the impression that he had no idea what he was looking at (despite being a tech). I took him for a drive, then trusted him to let him drive (with me obviously).

What a d**khead! He immediately drove like reckless twat, under-taking, cutting off people and redlining all in the first 30seconds of him getting in. I had to yell at him to pull over and get out.

You have to love Kijiji, you never know who you'll get.

I hope he actually wasn't a tech lol.


I've had tons of interest, but genuinely no time to meet people when they've wanted to meet, which is unfortunate.
Things are settled for the next little while so if anyone is interested and wants to drop by, I'll try and make it work (no BMW Techs pleaseeee).

Going to do the Aux Water Pump later next week.

I had a similar experience when selling my sti. Kid literally street raced someone on the test drive. Had to kick him out and told him when his dad gets the money to me he can beat on it all he wants.

Now it's "test rides" only.
