Feeler/FS Soon - LOW MILEAGE 1991 BMW M20B25 Engine
Figured i'd post this feeler up since i'll be getting started on the swap very soon.
I'll be pulling the old engine out of my car soon (within the next month and half lets say), and since I dont really have too much space to store it, I thought it would be best to try to find a buyer before I pull it. Here are the details on the engine:
2.5L M20B25 - bone stock
Currently has 80xxx kms, doubt I will crack into 81 in the next month
Comes with all accessories including DME (ECU)
Very healthy engine, can be heard running and driving.
Only known problem is that it has a leaking oil pan gasket. This is a common problem with E30's and will be replaced once the engine is pulled. Doesnt leak enough oil to really worry about and its a real PITA to replace, so I figured I would replace once I pulled the engine since I knew I was going to swap it anyways.
I dont have any previous maintenance history on the car, however based on the cleanliness of it, I can only imagine everything was done properly. Last oil change was done with Lubro-moly synthetic at roughly 74xxxkm's.
Price: $1500 obo
I'll say this right off the bat, even though I dont have much space to store it, I WILL FIND SPACE IF I NEED TO!!! Meaning I will not take lowball offers. There is not many M20 engines for sale with such low mileage and all accessories. You can find longblocks with 200K Plus for anywhere from $600-1000 so I think my price is reasonable. However if you can give me a valid arguement for why your lower price is more reasonable, I am willing to negotiate.
