I 100% agree on over priced.
However i'm more blown away that these guys are actually selling these frequently at this price, the market seems to be nice to these certain models.

I absolutely love the mk4 R32, it is my favorite VAG hatch. But understand what some of the posts are saying in that they seem to freakishly hold their value in Alberta. The clean and tastefully moded examples seem to sell at close to what the OP is asking in AB (less the wheels). Look out of province and they range from asking 10-15k. In the States even less. It's not overpriced if it sells near asking.

Not sure how you think it is a scam?? The listing you posted is 4 months old the and only on pic, the carsforsale ad is new with more and better pics. Anyway lots of examples on Can and US autotrader, cars for sale etc. that show the higher resale price in Alberta compared to everywhere else.

Seems like a very fair asking price to me. Especially seen as $20,000 Canadian doesn't even get you $16,000 US these days. Try going down to the US and picking up what appears to be a very clean example like this and getting it back to AB - especially with the cloth seats for $16,000.

I am pretty sure Pat knows that I am just having fun with him not attacking anyone just pointing out that he is crazy or possibly he has been drinking again as that happens fairly often (just ask Tracy )

I wouldn't mind an MK4 R32 but currently they seem to be in the mid 2000's B5S4 price vortex and this is coming from someone who had a B5S4 at that time.
