  • For Rent: PELA 6000 Oil Extractor

Ever wanted to do your own oil changes but lack/or do not have the time or space to jack up your car? This is the solution for you! 100% cleanup free, no worries about spilled oil!

Note: Any BMW E9X or newer, or possibly other newer vehicles who lack a dipstick tube CAN NOT use this (B8 Audi's have a tube, but no dipstick, it will still work, you need only remove the cap)

I recently got a PELA 6000 oil extractor for my A4/Roommates car, and I obviously do not need it every day of the month. So if anyone would like to borrow it, let me know. You can seriously do an oil change in about 10 minutes, without jacking up the car (I did my A4's oil in the parking lot at my Condo). Simply just take out your dip stick, feed down the PELA's line, pump it 10-20 times, and let it suck out all the oil! It does only hold 6 litres of oil, so if your vehicle displaces more you may require two goes with it.

All I ask is that you dump the oil out of it before returning it, as I am not a oil disposal! (it has a handy spout attachment which you can use to dump into an empty oil jug).

If you would like to use it, shoot me a PM and I will be more then happy to let you! I just ask that you give me a $50 deposit (to make sure it doesn't vanish, I will refund it 100% when you bring it back to me, and please clean off the oil probe!).

    Current status: AVAILABLE

We have one of the long cylinder style ones for winterizing our boat and it works great. Essentially a big vacuum cylinder

If you want to buy one and save money, get one of these: http://www.leevalley.com/en/garden/p...322,56142&ap=1 They work perfectly. I've used one for ten plus years.

                Ahh crap, I see, NLA....

Just a quick thought, make sure you can fully suck up all the oil with your dipstick placement. Sometimes you may not be able to extract/drain some of the oil and/or you may be left with metal shavings/etc in the oil still. Manufacturers place oil drains in a certain place typically for a reason

I know. But for $40, having it there all of the time and not having to go to the hassle of arranging with you to pickup and drop off...... Anyone that works on their own cars would use it regularly for many things.
