Hello guys, i have my 1983 Rabbit L for sale, its got a 1.7 fuel injected engine mated to a 4 speed manual tranny. Body/engine has 220 000 original KMs on it and its in really good shape, no rotting anywhere, just a bit or surface rust. I need this thing gone asap cause i pulled it out of storage but the buyer flaked.. now its just taking up space that i dont have. This car hasnt seen the road for approximately 10 years, just moving back and forth from storage/ sitting in a garage.
Good
-Low original Kms
-solid and straight body, no rust holes or anything like that
-strong engine and tranny, pulls hard, starts on second crank.
-i have a 1.8 JH GTI engine that can go with it, approx 250 000 KMs, direct plug and play
-interior is in GREAT shape
-new exhaust
-new windsheld and seal
-has original radio, not plugged in, but its there
-mint rear tails, MK1 guys will know that this is hella rare
Not so Good
-paint, has flaws and will need to be touched up/ resprayed
-weird issue where the oil light comes on over 3k RPM.. issue goes away when the engine warms up
-rear bumpers not on, but i have it.. easy fix
-battery is very old and very weak, but itll start the car
This car is in sweet shape, i wouldn't even call it a project car (unless you want to drop in that GTI engine). Just some paintwork and its good to go for another 30 years!
EDIT: Oh, did i mention its a 2 door?
Looking for $2000 OBO no reasonable offer will be refused, call or text Jason at 403 470 9987. Slap a plate on the car and drive her home!
