  • FS: 1993 Audi S4

So, long story short, my father backed into my Audi the other day and did quite the number on the driver's door. After a lot of thought, I've decided to put the car up for sale and get what I can for it rather than spending $1500 to get it back to the value it had.

    Info:

    1993 Audi S4
    215,XXXkms

    Good:
    drives excellent
overall shape of the car is awesome (minus now dented door)
    good brakes, good clutch
    interior super clean
brand new 034 coilpack conversion and factory bosch plugs ($150 for 5 :o )
brand new clutch slave installed (thanks Chris!)
    brand new battery
just did an oil change, 0w40 mobil 1 diesel synthetic

    Bad:
needs new passenger side rear shock
door still functions fine, closes fine, doesn't leak air, but presumably you'd want to do something about the door. LKQ in BC has one for $400 (needs to be painted to match)
CEL is on (haven't checked it yet, sometimes hesitates under boost)
needs OOP (car is from BC)
    fuel gauge doesn't work
odometer doesn't work (common issue, the gears in the odometer are stripped and need to be replaced or simply replace the whole cluster)

The car also comes with a brand new stainless steel clutch line and H&R springs. The 034 coilpack conversion after shipping ran close to $550, and then the factory recommended plugs weren't cheap either. I've come across another car that it just makes sense for me to sell this one at this point, I don't have the time to deal with all of the little issues.

Overall, car runs and drives great and I wouldn't be getting rid of it if it didn't make financial sense as I originally bought the car for $4k (and I hadn't stumbled across a screaming deal on another car I really like). I'm asking $2500obo, lowballs welcome. Can deliver anywhere in Alberta for the cost of fuel in my truck. I just need it gone and out of my hair so I can move onto the next car. email is aevokes@shaw.ca. I figure that for that price, the H&R springs and coilpack conversion alone are close to $1k. Pretty hard to find a running/driving car in this province for $1500 or less, and really, if someone fixed the door ($1500 max) and put another grand or two into it (my original plan), you'd have an VERY nice S4 for around $5k (pretty reasonable pricing IMO, but hey, you be the judge).

Sorry to hear buddy. Hopefully someone picks this up and fixes it up. Hate to see another urs4 hit the bricks.

Yea, its just one of those things with how much money I currently have into it, it's just not worth to fix (the value just isn't there). This just all ends up working out OK for me as if I sell the Audi, I get another vehicle (deal just kind of dropped into my lap) for well below market value so my actual loss of value/cash is zero. If I was buying this Audi again for around $2500 in the shape it is now in, I'd totally do it! I love the car! But it just makes no sense for me to toss $1500 into a $4k car and not have it's value change at all.

A 1994 Subaru WRX wagon. Loves my subie's. In the end, I guess it all works out (and this one makes 300awhp, so its a bit more fun and about 1000lbs lighter than the Audi. No heated leather seats though :( )

Ryan's solid, give him a chat.

And gotta say, that's laaaaame you're back on the sake wagon. These UrS4 cars are legit. Moar hp/L/$ than the Scooby's. Plus luxury.

If it's any help, I have a Cyclamen coloured door I'd offer for next to free to help a bother out. You'd just have to pay for paint. And I would have a sweet deal on a cluster @ 267xxx etc to help your other issues. And, if Kenny doesn't buy it, then I also have a new in box Blauparts shock kit (complete 4-corner plug'n'play kit) for sale for cheap.

                  SOLD!

Received asking price for it which surprised me. Had close to 10 people legitimately wanting to buy it, apparently these things are in demand or something Sorry Mantis we weren't able to work out a deal!

Seems of late there in real high demand. Did the car sell to some one on eurodrivers? Did it come to the Edmonton area?
