    Re: Methanol Injection Group Buy

The new kits will be using a solenoid to prevent siphoning, as well the controller has a low fluid level warning that can be tied into a relay controlling a boost controller (factory or aftermarket)

This kit is entry level pricing with a few nice bonuses, you will see that it is priced less than all other kits.

It does not come with a reservoir, most that have installed this kit have tapped into the washer fluid res.

I can give you "instructions" on how best and where best to tap your APR bipipe

I should definitely research this a bit... If I were to get the 10-15% HP gains that it claims, that would put me above 300

not only that but in a relatively safe manner. lower egt temps. clean intake system. I would consider if I could afford it now. worth it though.

I urge everyone to do their own research. I have been running this w/m kit for over 5 years. It not only offers performance gains but also safely cleans the valves and valve train.

The performance gains even when not specifically tuned for w/m are notable.

Ryan, do you recommend running with the map sensor or their boost sensor?

                        Re: Methanol Injection Group Buy

Worth mentioning... unless you have a separate meth program, you will not see anywhere near the gains (if any) as the ones advertised. For some programming (Say Off the shelf APR) you can use your race gas program, and just be careful on the hotter days.
As much as I want to add meth to my car, Im SOL for programming with Vast being gone. (And I wont pay another grand to change to something else) I could probably tweak via lemmiwinks, not sure I want to get that involved though.

Also, the braided steel hoses are a worthy upgrade too... unless they have changed their push connectors. I think it was only $75 last I checked.

If it cleans the valves too, then that's even more reason for me to buy it, since the 2.0T engines are known for having carbon buildup issues. Not as much on the TSI as opposed to the FSI/TFSI, but still.

I would go with the DO onboard sensor. It is an easier installation with better range on the sensor

A seperate tune for meth will net you much larger gains, as it allows you to significantly advance you timing. This combined with lower intake temperatures allows you to create more horsepower. Either way the gains are worth it, and for the price of the kit you cannot beat it anywhere.

I have some comments to make on benefits and potential performance gains that I will male when I getbin front of the computer and am able to collect my thoughts and post backing evidence for my claims
