    FS: 1998 Audi A4 *no engin* $1000 obo need gone ASAP

    I have been debating putting another engine in myself but I think I will be taking a different rout. Figure there has to be someone on here that would enjoy the project. It drives fine needs the steering column module that controls the cruise control replaced and the power door locks don't work. The wheel bearing in the back drivers side can be replaced as well. Both parts I have and will give with the car. Let me know of any interest. Thanks.
    1998 a4 Quattro
    5 Spd manual
    165xxx on the body
    Was hit in the front. No mechanical problems besides the wheel bearing.

    If i find an engine before it sells, I will install and will be selling for 2500$ obo.

      I Will also concider trades for a clean body mk2 golf 2door. Engine isn't a huge concern.

                  And no I was driving this up until the engine died. Didn't get written off. Slid into someone back in February and damaged the rad hood and bumper. Replaced it all and my engine died a month later. Timing belt slipped when I was driving on the highway

                        Took the old one out I was hoping to get a new one in there, but plans have changed and it's just taking up space at my parents house right now. But it's good for the next person cause they don't have to pull the old motor just bolt up another one . Would like to see it go soon. Also did a rear dif fluid flush last summer.

                          so do you still have the old engine or was it scrapped? also was this a 1.8t car or a 2.8 car originally?

                            I Still have it. It was the 1.8t. Piston and piston walls are damaged. And the head might be salvageable but the valves are bent And stuck open.
