and a comp 6262 pushing.... "way too much power for the streets"

Right, a 6262 on Chinese 630cc injectors and a unitronic tune. Sounds like a champ

It's somewhat 'free'. Usually once you go in deep, you find more. Definitely worth a shot if you have $3k and can afford to take SOME hit. High mileage.

contacted the owner, according to him that the shop he took it to (Silversprings Certigard) says all it needs is a clutch and flywheel. Apparently the car is still drivable, being driven to work daily.. Any word about how reputable this shop is? I don't mind getting dirty and diving into it, I just don't want this to turn into a huge money pit.

can anyone ballpark what the fuel mileage would be like on a 3.0L? and I'm going to assume this quattro is referring to the Torsen-based diff that it uses(correct me if I'm wrong). Any insight would be great but I am looking for something fairly reliable... lol

if you click on his address he posted it puts you to a street right close to the Bow River. I might be nervous about possible water damage if he does indeed live there seeing as it 'needs some work' and is listed for a pretty cheap price. Might be fine, but if you want it, take it to your own mechanic to be checked out first.
