Nope, it's a twin turbo setup aka two small identical turbos. They say the N54 has minimal turbo lag, but I beg to differ. My dad has a 535xi (N54), and the thing lags decently at low RPM, but still has a smooth power delivery.
IMO, a sequential setup makes way more sense.

Between that M540i and the S54 engine and tranny, there is definitely some great things to be had on Kijiji right now. That 5 Series looks damn minty!!!
