It's not that rare to justify that pricetag IMO.

They didn't sell the 323 in North America, only the 318 and 325. This is the first one I've seen for sale in the country in the past 3 months of looking. Plus it has low mileage and it's in really good condition, so I could justify $8000.

An E30 M3 will go for $25-30k easily.

All clean E30's are going up in price. Its just a matter of what people are willing to pay for them. You can find garbage ass rust buckets with nearly 200K on em going for 5G. You wont find an M3 in good condition for under $25K. I paid a premium for mine because it was mint and had the Mtech II package which is ultimately exactly what I wanted in an E30 (except for the auto tranny). But again its a matter of what people are willing to pay. Would I pay $8K for an early model E30 with no special trim and a smaller engine? Even though its in amazing shape with low mileage, not a chance in hell. But personally I'm not a fan of big bumper E30's

I wouldn't pay $8k for a mid-range E30. If you have the chance to go for the 325, I'd aim high and pay more for it.
