got the compression tester out on the harlequin and there is zero compression in the cylinders. He must have bent the **** out of those valves, he did say the timing belt slipped a few teeth but i think it did more than that. Vr6 could be a possibility since it needs a new engine anyways.

That Jetta looks oddly familiar. I believe a buddy I went to high school with built it. Cant tell for sure but either way thats a minty MK2 for that price. Paging Scott......

Edit: After taking a second look, its not the same one i'm thinking of. This one isnt slammed like his was.
