It's someone's choice to spend a ridiculous amount of money on an old car, you can't ask for it back because of parts and upgrades. That price is insane, cool car, but cut your losses on modding a decade old car.

I think he is trying to put it into perspective. 100,000kms really isn't that much, but it isn't that few either.
Wasn't there an R32 with 203 miles (two hundred and three, not thousand) that was listed for low $30,000's in the US? Even then that was over priced

Sure it was an extreme example, but there have been more than a handful of them that have been sold with 15,000-20,000 miles for significantly less than the $40,000 asking price.
