how does the remote control vent unit work? I presume it opens for a bit when the temperature hits a certain level, but how do you retain security of the car?

UPDATED LIST. The volkswindow is great. There are the basics
unlock, lock on the remote closes all windows and sunroof when you leave the car.
unlock, unlock, lock. vents all windows by cracking them about 1/2 inch
unlock, unlock, unlock. opens all windows. This is the greatest feature in these cars because of the black interiors. lets your interior cool down a bit before getting in.

i loved having it and it is usually $100 plus $25 for the temp sensor. The temp sensor works to vent as above but using a thermostat. it does unlock your car for about 3 seconds but someone would have to be standing there waiting for it and you wouldn't know that this would happen. Pretty cool or if you are worried don't hook that part up. easy to install.

Good luck with the install doesn't take long...about 25 to 30 minutes to do it right. just make sure to disconnect the battery to avoid blowing some fuses.
