    Yay me!

Man, nothing ever goes smoothly when I mod something. Oh well, it's not like I'm in a big rush or anything.

        Yeah,

        wow that sucks...

Oh well, no big rush here either...

        Just keep us updated.

I wouldn't mind taking a look at it before they get shipped back to germany, if that's possible.

I don't think that you can just order the plastic cover for the cluster, as other people have broken theirs while trying to install aluminum cluster rings.

I'd preffer to get a new one rather then "fix" this one anyways.

Don't worry about the time factor Bart. I've got a closet full of mods I need to get done anyways.

Sorry to hear that guys. That sucks ass for sure. I watched a baggage handler loading a plane once, holy man, the loading conveyor is only waist high but this guy was lifting **** over his head and throwing it.

BTW Bart, thanks for the Pizzies.

              Re: GB: Euro Clusters

ok, i cannot get mine to work either.... i have gotten one step further than you ryan, but then it quit, and its somehow in lock mode, the vin number is displayed twice now.

i was able to click save, and didnt get an error. then i restarted and couldnt do the rest, and it flashed fail on the lcd where the km's are.... i will call them tomorrow, see what progress has been made at the post office, and inquire about replacements.

tex: now that me and ryan cant use ours, what i can do is switch the broken lens to yours, they are uncracked and in good condition, and we can try that and see what happens, hopefully someones works!

basically as soon as i opened the box today, i was pissed and upset to see what i saw. it f**ked up my day. not even my car which i picked up today made me feel all that better with newly painted parts. i cannot stop thinking about this....

              sorry guys.

Sorry to hear that guys, and hope you're able to work this out Bart. Some package handlers have no respect for other peoples property and the impact their neglegence causes

derick me and bart got to thinking its for how much they were valued for 200cdn and 1000 euros.. so when they got here they go handled like ass.. this time we have to set it to be like 4000 then they won't get f**ked with also barts guy needs to put fragile stickers everywhere and use bubblewrap hardcore

                    Re: GB: Euro Clusters

Oh, sorry to hear that guys. But I think the cluster came in seperate box from dealership? I got my current Euro cluster in bubble wrap, then in a VW/Audi/Skoda/Seat box for cluster. Then it was put between wrapping foam in a bigger box (which has at least an inch on each of the 6 sides of the original cluster box).

Bart. Which step were you in on your cluster adaptation now? I believe you've already did the cluster adaptation (login with new skc, then do adaptation, then was asked to enter old skc). After that, you have to use your old skc to login. I experienced this when I did my current cluster adaptation. After successful cluster adaptation, your new cluster will display old VIN, therefore you will then use your old skc to login to do the rest of the process (ie, key adaptation, mileage adaptation, language adaptation, ...etc). I stuck on that stage for 2 months, then all of a sudden I can login to my new cluster with my old skc (no error shown). Then I did the rest. You might want to try that before shipping it back.
