  • LF: Someone to VAG my car.

    Hey,

I'm getting my exhaust system worked on today, and have the CAT removed in the process. I will be looking for someone who can VAG my car to get rid of the CEL.

PM me if you are up for helping me out.

    Cheers
    Josh

Not possible. You'll either have to get a O2 spacer or get a chip that removes it.

Doesnt hurt to have a vagcom cable handy though: http://www.eurodrivers.ca/forums/sho...ges-and-Cables

Get a tune that deletes it (Unitronic 1+ or higher or eurodyne with cat delete option) or an angle block from 42DD

So strangely enough, I just picked up my car and without the cat it's not throwing the CEL at all. I didn't drive very far, couple blocks, but nothing. :S

It will pop up sooner or later, it usually does. Under very very odd circumstances (O2 sensor fouling) it can be okay for periods of time. Let us know in a week

As said it will eventually pop up, you can clear it but it will come back every time and it will get worse over time as well (probably) as the O2 sensors get fouled. Eventually it will be on all the time. VAG-COM can't disable it permanently, you need to pay for a tune/flash.
