Desperately need fuel pump for Passat / A6

The fuel pump died on my wifes car last night, im going out of town tomorrow and hoping that someone on here has an extra fuel pump (used/new dont care) kicking around.

Looks like all B5 / B5.5 Passats use this same pump and the 1998 - 2004 A6's (V6 2.8L/3.0L) also have it.

Any help is much much appreciated. Thanks

did the car just die while driving? replace the fuel pump relay first

I didn't check the relay, but did check the fuse. I will see if I can find a diagram somewhere on where it is in the car.

its right by the steering wheel by your left knee. I thought my fuel pump went 2 years ago, replaced it and it ended up being the relay. its a $25 relay from vw and they usually have them in stock

I have power to the pump so I'm guessing the relay is ok.

I have a 2.7T stock fuel pump sitting around...not sure if that would work?

unfortunatley the 2.7TT pump won't work. The 4 motion passat and 2.8/3.0 A6 quattros both share the same pump.
