  • FS: Carbon Fiber MK4 Jetta Hood (Notchless) w/ badgeless grill and hood pins

Eurogear MK4 Jetta notchless hood. Works with normal hood release, and has pins for backup. I swapped back and forth each season, takes about 15 mins.

No cracks, but has some tree sap from parking at work.

450 OBO including pins and the badgeless grill. Lowballers can hold off till spring. Pins fit in stock holes already in the Jetta. If it weighs 12 lbs I'd be surprised.

I would have been interested if it didn't have the hood pins.

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be driving down the road and have 12lbs of carbon fibre break apart across my windshield...

Yep the latch works and is solid but it has popped before, which is why you have the pins. Lots of guys don't even bother with the stock latch and just use pins.

Does anyone know what bit is used on the hood bolts at the hinges?

Yep it's 4 bolts, super easy to remove. Just have someone holding it when you take the last 2 off.

You also need to remove the prop rod which is easy AFTER you remove that tiny stupid lock pin that I just never replace.

Other thing is the hose that feeds your 2 spray nozzles - you just pull it out of the old hood and feed it into the new, hook up with the same stock nozzles.

I have the same hood and have driven mine to 200 km/h without hood pins and haven't had any problems and once hit 180 in a big wind.
