Not sure if it will work in the gli, its got one of those one time clamps on the inside, doesnt thread on.

Cant tell you for sure but I bet you could make it work. Its not a screw on type like the B5 ones are, just uses a clamp, but that shouldnt be an issue

Bump. 5 speed knob still left.
I put a 6-speed one in my B6 and needed to take the plastic base off of the original knob and staple it to the new one. Wasn't difficult at all
