Why did it need a new clutch pack and camshaft? Those aren't maintenance items.

I believe that engine had some premature came wear issues in some cases.

They did, some BRM's were affected, once repaired they have no issues however.

This is a great deal on a TDI.

Whoops forgot i posted this up here. Yes Brm's had a premature cam wear issue. New updated lifters and Camshaft take car of the issue. Dsg clutch packs do need to be changed, just like manual clutches.

And yes, this is a hell of deal for someone.

Clutches wear out on DSG's just like manuals. They are essentially a computer controlled dual manual gearbox. should be good for another 160k.
