  • FS: VR6 Engines swaps (3-4)

    Hi all,

Inventory is leaving and needs to go in one shot. $1000 pretty firm. If you've swapped a VR, you know what's in here by the look of it.

    1 MKIV VR6 engine
    - comes with Longblock, manifolds, harness (right up to firewall tray), ECU, Throttle body, plug wires, flywheel, airbox, MAF, intake pipe, exh man, sec cool pump, other stuff. Oh, and a BNIB Camshaft position sensor
-Previous owner pulled it due to some noise. Probably chains, but I haven't had the time to look into it yet. I know that I got a broken guide in one of the boxes and the serp tensioner ate itself, so I suspect that had something to do with it

    AAA VR6 stuff (3-4)
1 longblock, complete, has aftermarket flywheel/clutch setup, A/C comp, P/S pump, SAI, manifolds,

1 longblock, complete but split (pulled head off)
Has all new guides and chains. Needs an upper rear tensioner (I took it apart, but it ran. I should've just put a new tensioner on it) - 195,000 on the engine.

AAA block, crank, pistons, rods, head, all disassembled. I'm pretty sure everything is there to reassemble the bottom end no problem. Just get some bearings and go. For the head, one of the Camshaft caps is missing, but I have all the valves.

    VR6 02A Transmissions (3+)
-One was sold to me rebuilt, but I think something's wrong with a selector. Doesn't want to go into top 4 gear (R,1,3,5)
-One was out of a Passat VR. Seems to work OK.
-Other one seems to work OK too. Bought it for a swap that never happened.
-Most of the internals of another 02A. This was Travis's (TB on CVD) old 02A that popped on him, so I'm sure 2nd gear is munch.

    Wiring
    3-4 engine-side harnesses
1 full engine to ECU harness
1 engine to ECU harness (unwrapped, might have had some goodies taken)
1 complete OBD1 Harness, including cluster and fusebox from 95 Passat VR
Upper and lower intake manifolds, including 2-3 OBD1 uppers, including TB, and 1 OBD2
    Exhaust manifolds
    A/C piping
    A few OBD1 dowpipes
    K-Frame from 96 GTI VR6 with plus
    Front crossmember for MK3 VR
95 Passat ABS and brake booster
    Hydro pedal setup from Corrado
Cable shifters (2) one has bent ends. Would need to be replaced
Several Flywheels, clutches, and pressure plates
Some MK3 VR DriveAxles (for cores)
AAA chains, upper and lower - 2 to 4 sets, new.

There's enough stuff here for a good solid 3 swaps with very little effort, a little bit more parts, and some of YOUR time (My marriage can't afford any more of mine)

Pics (grab a drink. There's a lot of them):

    MKIV VR6 Engine

Bottom end of disassembled VR (AAA)

    Complete AAA engine

    Pressure Plate from that engine

    02A

    K-Frame and crossmember (Plus)

    Another 02A

One of the many wiring boxes

    Passat harness and cluster

VR engine bay harness (engine side harness is in there somewhere)

    Oil pan

Box of stuff (SAI's, OBD1 and 2 intake tubes, cable shift, OBD1 downpipe,

Starter, A/C compressor, tensioner, bunch of exh mani's, Alternator

T/B cover, Alternator, MKIV A/C pipe

    manifolds, including Throttle bodies

    A/C stuff (MK3)

THat unwrapped engine harness I was talking about

MKIV stuff (airbox, A/C comp, battery fusebox, coolant manifold, piping,

MKIV wiring, computers, harness, P/S pump, dead tensioner, throttle body, valve for upper intake manifold

AAA main and crank caps. Those bearings are old. New guides, chain, tensioner on the right

    Machined flywheel

    More bottom-end parts

plastic AAA (MK3) valve cover - goes to that disassembled engine

95 Passat brake booster and hyrdo master/slaves

    Corrado/B3 Passat hydro pedal assembly

Willing to deliver it to Edmonton if needed, but you'd be adding $200 for fuel and my time.

Re: FS: VR6 Engines swaps (3-4)

OK. Selling it off in little bits I guess:

$150 for each of the long blocks.
    $75 for an 02A
$80 for the K-Frame and front crossmember
$125 for the Passat brake booster, master/slave
    $100 for the short block
    $100 for the complete head
    $40 for the bare block
    $20 for the bare head
    $40 for the crank
$100 for the whole Passat wiring stuff
    $50 for each upper/lower manifold
$30 for each throttle body (OBD1 or OBD2)
$25 for a downpipe, including the exh mani.
    $25 for the cable shifter
    $40 for the pedal cluster
$100 for the MKIV wiring and parts
$15 for each of the A/C compressor, P/S pump, and alternator
    $30 for the flywheel
    $10 for a used flywheel/clutch/pp combo
$20 for B4 Passat radiator with dual fan setup
$20 for MK3 GTI radiator, A/C cooler, with dual fan setup
$25 for each set of A/C cooling lines
    Anything I've missed, just ask.
