  • FS: mk4 tdi mfa cluster

Bought this european mfa cluster to replace the fried one in my girlfriends jetta but had a "oh ****" moment when i remembered they had immobilizers earlier than 99.5 in europe (need one from a 99.5 with no immo)

It has 81xxx miles on it, if you have immo2(00-02?) then this cluster will work for you, you can change it to output in km's in vagcom, and you can set it to your original mileage. and use your metric overlay from your old cluster. It is missing the front half/clear plastic piece.

$150 obo. will get pics up.

It's been a LONG time but back in the day I thought that Bart figured out how to make these work for almost any car.

not the immobiliser part, immo2 is upto 2001, 02+ are immo3

all i knew how to do was reset the km to whatever you wanted on them haha

btw i think i have a clear plastic piece in my basement, it might have a crack it in not sure, but better than nothing you can have it

So she has a 99.5? I thought any immo cluster could be used in them with the right coding?

the US/CANADA 99.5 has no immobilizer.
this one is from a 99.5 in europe but does have a immobilizer(97 up in europe from what im told)
If we used this one we would have a Christmas tree of error lights on and the constant beeping as if you left the parking brake on

This ones actually a immo1 but is compatible with immo2 from my understanding, thanks for clearing the year up bart, i do have a clear plastic thing off the dead cluster if someone wanted it, it looks like the plastic part was separated and glued back on(hazy on the inside)

I threw the cluster in and grabbed a pic, i guess it does work in the 99.5s aswell. It doesn't have the beeping or every light lite up like i heard, just the immobilizer symbol flashes. If i didnt already buy another cluster i would just use this one and unsolder the immo symbol.
