  • Feeler: 2001 Jetta 2.0L

I found the car I have been looking for so I want to see if I can sell my Jetta.

2001 Jetta GLS 2.0L Black, Auto
    127XXX km
A/C, heated seats, power windows, sunroof
Dealer serviced until 3 years ago, now it goes in for "C" and "D" services (D coming up)
Castrol Syntec oil changes for last 3 years
Timing belt replaced at 100k, water pump replaced at 80k
OEM “Avus” 15” wheels with Nexen Eurowin tires used for 2 winters

    Aftermarket parts:
MSR-103 wheels with Federal summer tires used for 1 summer
    Injen Cold Air Intake
    Magnaflow Catback exhaust
1.8T rear valence (for the straight tips on the exhaust)
    Unitronic Chip
    ZeroStart Coolant heater
Full Alpine stereo installation, with original boxes and manuals for most parts if wanted
    - deck (CDA-9835)
    - 2 x monoblock amps for subs (MRD-M305)
    - 4 channel amp (MRV-F340)
    - 2 x 10” Type R subs (SWR-1041)
    - 2 x 6.5” Type R Components (SPR-17LS)
    - full amp link connection to both sub amps (control from deck)
    - 1 farad Stinger capacitor
    - Custom amp rack – covered in leather, split rear floor so the spare tire is accessible, attaches to the cargo tie downs.
    - Carpeted surround for subs

The bad – there is rust on the drivers side rear quarter panel and around the antenna. Could probably be fixed by someone with body work skills, I’m not that person. The windshield is cracked, will be replaced prior to sale.

$7000 OBO with everything, including Bently Service manual. Willing to part out the wheels and stereo if the car sells. PM with questions.

    Also available:
-back-lit emblem I made years ago (not currently hooked up, will be replaced with the orginal)
-orginal 2.0 rear valence with NO cutout

Met this guy twice. First time ended up giving me a free stock airbox(during the swiss cheese mod era lol) and the second time came all the way to my place to scan my car.

Great guy, Best of luck with the sale.

One more recommendation from me. He drove out to my house to drop off 2 tools for helping me replace the microswitch on my driver's door.

Just an FYI for anyone looking at this car, the fender rust can more than likely be repaired at the dealership under the corrosion warranty. I've seen MK4s with some pretty crusty fenders and rockers approved for warranty repair at the dealership I work at.

                      Bump.

Stereo is coming out soon. $5000 without the stereo or $4000 without the stereo and summer wheels.

                        Bump.

Stereo is out, but left the deck since I had nothing to replace it with.

Offers on the rest of the system before I put it in my wifes car?

Edit: The amp rack is $50 to anyone with a Mk4 Jetta plus swap your rear floor panel for mine, which is split for access to the spare. It is made of 1/2" 4130 steel light wall tubing, and attaches to the forward cargo tie down. The supports are spaced for the Alpine amps, but will probably fit other makes. The leather covering is stretched over and tied at the back, so it could easily be replaced. I can put some pics up if anyone is interested.
