Mega noooob question. I take it my rears are unvented....? (See pics above). Would vented rotors fit? I'm assuming not?

Every VW rear disc I have seen are unvented.

Here is the difference (Not VW Rotors, just found them for reference)

Vented ones typically are thicker, so a new caliper would be needed. With enough $$ and time you could probably figure something out, but if you want to upgrade their are VW options. All depends on what you are driving and how big you want to go. $$ decides how badly you want to stop here..

337s and 20th Anniversary had vented rear discs. Not sure about the GLIs.
