                        Re: windshields

I'll be honest I used the guys down the road from George's shop and while it was a great price the first windshield had to be resealed three times because it was leaking water when I would go through the car wash. I hadn't used a touchless for a while and last week when I did I noticed that it's still leaking. Not as badly as it ever did before, but still from right beside the rear view mirror. Annoying as hell.

did you wait the 2 days after the install to wash it? thats a big rule. may also be the lack of primer used, which i have seen way too much. they may also have wiped out the bead of urathane when laying the windshield in.

                            Re: windshields

I've had two installed since I bought the first one. I actually waited a full week before washing my car when I got each installed. Not too sure, but he said that they pressure fitted the windshield each time. I think it might have something to do with a potentially bent frame? I've tried to figure it out but to no avail.

                              Re: windshields

Did you leave you windows open a crack for when you close your door, i have heard of it being a problem that the pressure in the car when you close the door can pop it up just enough to cause a small leak......
