Too bad they won't work on my tranny, 99.5's have the looses shifting of any VW :(

They should still fit a .5. They say they'll work on VR6 O2A, O2J, O2M, O2Q and these should work, on even the early style as the bracket didn't change. The cable ends did. I would hazard that they fit any cable-shift 02x series tranny's bracket.
