FS: 1980 Audi 5000 Turbo... Only 177,000km

Hi Guys,

I found this great old 5000T on Kijiji with super low kms for only $1100
You just can't find these great cars anymore... especially in good shape.
I had one of these in the late '80's and it was quick... would easily do 230km/hr.

Nope, it's a 5000T... the 4000 was a lot smaller.

I could not even IMAGINE how much that car would nickle and dime you to death. Even with the low km -- all the rubber seals and gaskets would be drying up and crumbling. All the wiring would be also be crumbling and shorting out. On top of that those were NOT good years for Audi -- they were barely better than the Americans in quality -- you might as well get a 1980 Ford Granada - Kidding Kidding

Yeah, the seals/gaskets could be an issue, when I had one of these it was only 9 years old... but it was a solid car, was reasonably quick, handled great and was way better quality than even a late '80's American car... although the stereo was junk. The only issue I had with it in 2 years of ownership was new fuel injectors.
