    For sale I have a '92 1.6l NA Diesel 4 door. Calypso Green, 268xxxkm

    Cliffs Note Version:
Great car, only had to do maintanence on it. Never left me stranded. Have to get hip surgery, surgeon told me to get an auto if I wanted to drive easily after. 268XXXkm $1400 OBO. All offers considered!

    Detailed Version:
I'v had the car for about seven months, the PO didn't really do much preventative maintanence on it so I've done the following on it since I bought it with the main intention of getting it Calgary winter proof:

New battery (Old one was a utility battery)
    New re-man'ed alt
New Bosch glow plugs (Harness cleaned too)
New under hood fuel lines as well as one under the car.
    New fuel filter
Brand new oil pan heater and battery heater
New belts (Minus timing belt, it is visually okay)
New injector heat shields (Two were leaking)

Obviously the maint. stuff has been done, ie: oil change, air filter change etc.

    The Bad:
High setting on fan doesn't work (But the second setting is killer hot)
Pass. Rear outer door handle needs to be replaced (Have replacement)
Only two speakers hooked up (See below)
Vacuum pump could be cleaned, but brake booster works fine
Injector pump is set a tad rich, blows smoke at full throttle
Handbrake cables kinda weak, but still work
Aftermarket alarm that is blown, doesn't do anything. Have fob.
Has a 'Golf' muffler on it so the tailpipe is hidden under the car

    The Good:
Aftermarket glass tilting sunroof, great for winter air.
Damn near new 15” Pirelli winters on some sort of VW alloy (stubbies still on)
In summer, regularily got 850-900km to a tank (Now about 800 cause its cold)
Thule roof rack with old style 555 fairing
Badgless Quad round setup with FK crystal clears (H4 bulbs, inners not wired)
Aftermarket standalone rear fog light (Not wired)
    Brakes are at 90%
Doors and door cards soundproofed (Very few rattles, very quiet)
    'Flair' interior
    Struts are great

    The 'To-Do':
Power steering belt isn't on right now, but I have it and will stick it on before sale
Due for an oil change next month, but will do it before sale if buyer wants
    Steering wheel on slightly crooked
Drivers door trim fell off, I'll stick it back on

    Stereo:
This is kinda odd, there is no head unit cause I never listened to the radio and have a 160gb Archos for music. It has two amps wired under the rear seat with an aux input module (more or less a volume attenuator with 3.5mm input) The head unit hole is covered by on OE blanking plate ($18 bucks from dealer!!)

Right now only the two rear deck speakers are hooked up, but I have some nice Alpine rear speakers and some awesome Soundstream component speakers for the front. I also have a small 10” rear sub. If the buyer wants this stuff they have have it for the asking price, otherwise the price can go down. I have a sony headunit if the buyer wants to go in that direction as well.

    Misc:
If the buyer wants the following can go with the sale, price will go down without these items:
Set of 5 snowflakes, shat rubber on them.
4 Pirelli all seasons that are good for another summer or two
    3 Chamber 7” round headlights

Also have lots of Mk2 parts left over from my previous car if the buyer needs anything.

    Reason for sale:
I did all the maint. on the car so my girlfriend could drive it in the winter, but I have to get a hip surgery and was told by the surgeon that if she didn't want to play taxi for the next eight months, that I should get an auto. So I bought a Mk4. (Gasp!)

I'v driven this thing to work ever since I got it, 50km every day and never had an issue. Rides super smooth, very quiet. I never had in interest in 'modding' this car, I just wanted a good solid daily.

Asking price is $1400, but ALL offers will be considered. No trades please. Call 403.998.9841 or PM if interested. Available evenings and weekends.
