  • F@: 1992 VW Jetta $1200

Bought the car 2 years ago as my winter beater:

    The Good:
Did a full engine check on the car, all new fluids
    New spark plugs
    New ECU
    New spark plug wires
    New Coolant flanges
Brand new Nokian Hakkapalita winter tires with 500km's on them
    Alignment done
    Interior in excellent shape
Heater works so damn well you almost need to take off your jacket in the winter
Comes with 2 brand new headlights
    Sunroof
    Brand new battery
    Minimal rust on shell

    The Bad:
Needs a new muffler (rusted out)
Trunk latch broke. ($50 in parts + time to fix)
Paint needs a good cut polish
There is a bit of rust around the windshield

My gf just got a new 2010 mazda3 so I no longer need this winter beast. I seriously had no qualms about driving to chestemere in a blizzard in this thing at 1130pm for hockey games. That's all I used to for, hockey games and grocery runs. Living downtown I can't justify a car anymore and need to get rid of it quick. Price relects that.

I wouldn't use this as a project car, but more a cheap winter beater/commuter. The engine runs great, and it drives nicely.

PM me or post in here if you have questions.

If I can sell my GTI, I might be interested. But I doubt anyone will buy mine in this economy.
