This one really chokes me up as I just picked this beast up like 2 weeks ago and it has been one of my dream vw projects since I was just a lad, but alas the evil temptress that is S4 has come out and decided to clean my wallet dry again so that means no time (or money) for the rabbit.
Like the name implies this is a 1981 Rabbit S with a G60 stuffed under the hood. The car has a 4 into 2 into 1 race header w/ a 2.25" exhaust on it, an oil cooler, front and rear poly motor mounts, and a 268/260 assym cam. The rabbit also has been lowered and has upgraded sway bars front and back. The bottom end of this PG has a rather fresh rebuild on it and the head has been cleaned up as well. The Charger is leaking a bit on the intake side of the IC so it has some seals that need replacing, but it also comes with an extra G lader that can be sent for a freshening while this one is still in the car. The car uses an 020 tranny with a new Bulley clutch w/ pressure plate, release bearing, center plate and new bolts. The car has a nice deep purple paint job on it that could use a respray down the road but overall the shape of this rabbit is amazing, hardly any rust at all, even the belly is incredibly clean and rust free. This car would be an awesome project for someone to finish off I was so excited about it but the damn S4 keeps stealing all of my spare time and money. Like I said I just bought this a few weeks ago and I'm not looking to make any money off of it I just want to get back what I paid for it. $1900 for this beast that is a true sleeper and one of the nicest rabbits I've seen around, someone will be very lucky.
