  • All Season Tires

I have a set of Michelin pilot mxm4 from a 2008 GLI. They are 225/45/17 and have a little less than 5K on them. They are M+S rated so you can use the for winter.

Looking for $500 for the set
Current: Golf R and a corporate lease nobody cares about

m+s does not make an all season tire a winter tire.

"M+S (or M&S as it is sometimes listed) means "Mud and Snow" - the tire meets the Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) standards for use in Mud and Snow conditions. In other words, there is at least a 34% void ratio in the tread.

This does not in any way imply the tire will be any good in mud or snow conditions or that it was even tested in such conditions during its design. It just means there are enough grooves in the tread to qualify for the rating."

I wouldn't encourage someone to choose these in place of winter tire. However, lots of guys will have worn out their summers/all seasons, and will be needing tires for next spring, and for that, they would be great.
