2006 Jetta TDI

I assume that everyone here is familiar with the high-efficiency of the TDI engine. I consistently get over 800 kms per tank (55 litres) in the city and close to 1,100 kms on the hiway.

The car is equipped with 5-speed manual , ESP, ABS, Head Curtains, Sunroof, AC, Cruise, Factory AM/FM/MP3-CD 10-speaker stereo.

Comes with alloys with all season tires, and second set of steel wheels with winter tires and wheel covers. VW Monster Mats.

Extra-clean, smoke-free, pet-free car with only 36,500 kms. Still looks, drives and smells new. Campanella white exterior on grey cloth interior.

Dealer serviced. VW bumper-to-bumper warranty until August 2010 (80,000kms) and Powertrain warranty to August 2011 (100,000kms)

Asking $25,700 o.b.o. (Updated June 5th) Price will be reduced by $100 day until it's sold.

Leaving the country. Car needs to be sold before June 25th.

I'm leaving the country and the car needs to be sold before June 25th. I obviously have to be open to looking at offers. My last option would be to sell it back to the dealer for peanuts.

FYI, for the 2009 model year, there are three different trim levels available; Trendline, Comfortline and Highline.

The Trendline is basically stripped down to keep the price low.

My Jetta has the equivalent features to the Comfortline which will sell for $26,775.
Add in:
Sunroof $1,400
Freight $1,335
Dealer prep $385
Admin fee $278
Air cond. enviro fee $100
Tire recycle fee $20
GST $1,445

Grand total will be $30,338, and I haven't factored in the winter tires on rims with covers, or the Monster Mats (another $940). If you're lucky you may get your '09 by the end of September, if you order one now.

If you're willing to settle for the base model Trendline, you'll still pay $27,712 out the door, but you won't have heated seats, centre armrest, alloys, sunroof, chrome exterior trim, winter tires, Monster Mats or any mats for that matter. I'm sure there are other things that I've missed, that VW has de-contented to keep the price down.

I think it's pretty clear that $25,700 was my asking price and that I am open to offers.

i dont mean to be a dick ,but your price IS pretty high...and your justification doesnt really do much for the argument (I, for one, would gladly pay 5,000 more for 36,500 less KM's and a longer warranty peroid)

You don't mean to be a dick, but you come across as one anyways. If you truly didn't mean to be a dick, you would keep your nose out of my business. This was a "For Sale" thread, not a "What does everyone think of my price?" thread.

If you would gladly pay $5,000 more , then you should do so. Other's may prefer to save a few bucks and not have to wait 6 months for their next car. Ultimately, seller's can ask whatever they want, but the true value is determined by what a buyer is willing to pay.

I stated the facts, that the price of a 2009 Jetta was not lower than my asking price. It was not an "argument".

Having said that, the car has been sold, so James and all the other "dicks" out there that don't know how to mind their own business, can go to hell.
